The Fiat 124 Spider was introduced at the 1966 Turin Motor Show. "It was a real beauty", as the Fiat 124 Spider Club so aptly described it, "a true sports car of its time". It was most popular in Germany and the USA and turned out to be a real bestseller. When FIAT took the model out of the range in the autumn of 1982, the Spider continued to be built in the Pininfarina factory until 1985. For the European market it was called Pininfarina Spider Europe, for the US market it was affectionately called Pininfarina Spider Azzurra. The Pininfarina Spider Azzurra offered here was manufactured in 1983 and delivered to its first owner in dry Denver/Colorado in the USA. It was not driven much and was temporarily in the prestigious LeMay car museum in Denver. When the car was sold to its second owner in 1990, it had just run 9,500 miles. The second owner had also not driven the car very much, but had taken good care of it. He sold the car in 2014 to Westgor Nathan Todd in Burnsville/Minnesota from whom we were finally able to take it over. We are pleased to be able to offer you this chic Pininfarina Spider Azzurra with just over 15,500 miles (equivalent to about 25,000 km) mileage. A great opportunity to get a relatively modern classic with enormous charm.
