The 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet offered here in sand beige metallic was delivered on 01.04 1971 to a company based in Munich. The car was regularly serviced at the Mercedes-Benz partner Werlin in Rosenheim, which can be seen impressively in the original customer service checkbook. When the elegant convertible was sold in the 1980s, it found its new home in faraway Japan. It was given a worthy place in a recognized museum in Tokyo/Japan and remained there for over 20 years.

In 2010, the car came back to Germany. From the very beginning, the 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolets of the Mercedes 111 series were ranked very high in the popularity scale of classic car friends and were highly sought after in the classic car market. Rosier Classic-Sterne had purchased the car and, despite an exceptionally good base, had subjected it to an extensive overhaul. So the car was stripped down to the bodyshell, everything checked and reassembled piece by piece. The very well preserved original leather was carefully reworked by a top German saddler and presents itself in uniquely good condition. We were subsequently able to sell the car to a collector who used the convertible from time to time in good weather and from whose collection we are now allowed to sell the vehicle - due to the large number of vehicles. The collector's high quality standards led him to have the engine extensively rebuilt by the specialists in the engine construction department of our factory, so that the legendary 3.5-liter engine now also shines in new splendor and is in no way inferior to its appearance. - Experience it for yourself and get an idea of this icon!
