The Mercedes-Benz model series W188 was presented to the public in 1951 at the ‘Mondial de l’Automobile’ in Paris. In 1955 the model series that consisted of a Coupé, a Cabriolet and a Roadster, whas been revised and renamed to 300 SC. In addition to plenty of chrome trim, a laborious fuel injection was installed which brings the powerful performance of 175 HP to the car.

This elegant Mercedes-Benz 300 SC Coupé was delivered to a well-known tool and machine factory from Düsseldorf on 26th April 1956. Some years later, the car was sold to the USA and remained there until it returned to Germany in 1991. Back here, the Coupé was completely restored by a renowned Mercedes-Benz specialist from 1993 until 2000 and was put into concours conditions. In 2012 the Coupé was sold to a businessman in Düsselsorf and in 2014 a Mercedes-Benz classic cars lover from Rheingau bought the car.
