The 199 series is a super sports car jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren, which was produced in England from 2003 to 2009. From mid-2006 there was the special 722 model, which was limited to 150 units each as a coupe and as a roadster.
The Edition 722 was intended to commemorate the legendary victory of Sir Stirling Moss and co-driver Dennis Jenkinson at the Mille Miglia held in Italy in 1955. He drove the 1000 miles in the record time of 10 hrs 7 minutes and 48 seconds in a Mercedes-Benz 300SLR. 722 was his starting number and starting time. The average speed driven was 157.65km/h on public roads. The special model has 478KW/650PS, sprints from 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 337 km/h. To the normal McLaren SLR about 300 parts were changed on the Edition 722 to optimize the vehicle even more.
